This policy explains what information Heritage Care Partners collects when you use this website or get in touch, how we use it, and the choices you have. We keep it plain and we keep it honest, in the same spirit as everything else we do.
Heritage Care Partners is a marketing company working with care homes, based in Bristol, United Kingdom. If you have any questions about this policy or your information, you can reach us at [email protected]. For the purposes of data protection law, Heritage Care Partners is the data controller for the information described here.
When you complete our enquiry form, we collect the details you choose to give us: your name, your role, your care home's name, your email address, and optionally your phone number and any message you write. We only ask for what we need to reply to you properly.
When you browse the site, Cloudflare counts visits in an anonymous, aggregated way (for example, how many people viewed each page). This uses no cookies and does not identify you.
If you accept analytics cookies, we also learn how the site is used in more detail: which pages you read and how far, which links you click, and how you first arrived (for example, from a search engine, a LinkedIn post or one of our adverts). If you then send us an enquiry, that summary of your visit is sent with it, so we know which pages and adverts are useful to care homes. If you decline, your enquiry only tells us the page you sent it from.
We use the details from your enquiry to respond to you, to understand how we might help your home, and, if we begin working together, to provide our services. We do not sell your information, and we do not add you to marketing lists without asking.
When you send us an enquiry, we process your information on the basis of taking steps at your request before entering into any agreement, and our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us. Where we rely on legitimate interests, we make sure they do not override your rights.
We use a small number of trusted service providers to run our business, and your information may pass through them purely so we can operate:
These providers act on our instructions and are not permitted to use your information for their own purposes.
Only if you accept the relevant cookies, we also use Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity (analytics), and the Meta Pixel and LinkedIn Insight Tag (advertising). These companies receive information about your visit and may use it for their own purposes under their own privacy policies, which is why we ask first. Some of our providers are based outside the United Kingdom, and where that is the case we rely on appropriate safeguards for any transfer of information.
We run advertising on Meta (Facebook and Instagram) for the care homes we work with, and for Heritage Care Partners itself. If you accept advertising cookies, the Meta Pixel and LinkedIn Insight Tag tell us whether our adverts lead to visits and enquiries, and allow us to show our adverts to people who have visited this site. If you accept advertising cookies and then send an enquiry, our server also tells Meta that an enquiry was made, together with your browser identifier, IP address and browser type, so the enquiry is counted even when a browser blocks the Pixel. We never send Meta your name, email address, phone number or message. If you decline advertising cookies, none of this happens.
We keep enquiry details for as long as we need them to respond and, if relevant, to manage our working relationship. If nothing comes of an enquiry, we remove the details once they are no longer needed.
When you first visit, we ask whether you are happy for us to use analytics and advertising cookies. Nothing in those two groups is set until you choose to accept it, and rejecting them makes no difference to how the site works. You can change your mind at any time using the cookie settings link at the foot of every page.
You can also control or delete cookies at any time through your browser settings.
If you send us an enquiry, we will reply to it and, where relevant, follow up about working together. We will not add you to any marketing list or send you unrelated promotions without your consent, and you can ask us to stop contacting you at any time.
If you subscribe to our newsletter, we collect your first name and email address so that we can send it. We use a double opt-in: you are only added once you confirm by clicking the link in the confirmation email we send, and we rely on your consent as our lawful basis. We keep a record of subscribers, including those who have not yet confirmed, in Notion, and we use Resend to store the list and deliver the emails. Every newsletter includes an unsubscribe link, and you can opt out at any time, or email [email protected] and we will remove you. We do not sell your details, and we do not use them for anything other than sending you these updates.
We take reasonable and appropriate measures to keep your information safe, and we only use trusted providers who are required to protect it. No method of storage or transmission is ever completely secure, but we work to reduce the risks and to respond quickly if anything goes wrong.
We do not make decisions about you using automated processing or profiling. A real person reads and handles every enquiry.
This website and our services are intended for care homes and the adults responsible for choosing care. They are not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Our site may link to other websites, such as social media. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites, and we encourage you to read their own policies.
Under data protection law you have the right to ask us to: give you a copy of the information we hold about you; correct anything that is wrong; delete it; restrict or object to how we use it; provide it in a portable format; and, where we rely on your consent, to withdraw that consent at any time. To make any of these requests, email [email protected], and we will respond within the time the law allows, normally within one month. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can also contact the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the date at the top of this page.
